SMART pH BALANCING – Stay Alkaline, Stay Healthy
Over acidity will decrease the body’s ability to absorb vitamins, minerals and other nutrients, decrease the ability to detoxify heavy metals and repair damaged cells, reduces the energy production in the cells but will make tumor cells thrive. Virtually all degenerative diseases, including arthritis, osteoporosis, cancer, heart disease plus premature aging, joint pain, constipation, eczema, acne, diabetes, obesity, headaches, sinus problems, colds, flu, immune deficiency, gall stones, kidney stones, tooth decay, low energy and chronic fatigue are associated with excess acidity in the body.
A high alkaline balance is the body’s first line of defense against illness and disease. Therefore, in disease, the thing to do is correct the acid conditions as quickly as possible and place the tissues in a position to restore themselves through proper alkalinity. This, of course, should be done with food – for foods are the only wholesome alkalizers, intended by nature to keep the alkaline reserve of the body at the point which promotes health.
The principle alkaline foods are fruits and vegetables followed by non-gluten whole grains, some oils, some nuts, sprouts and water. The acid producing foods are animal products like meat, eggs, dairy, some oils, some nuts and processed foods including white flour and refined sugar and acid forming drinks such as sodas, coffee and processed juices.
